A customer of mine in called and said he was getting a lot of IMAP related errors coming up in Outlook when trying to access his email account. After some research and investigating I found that it was a combination of several things namely his email quota, a slow upload on his internet connection and some profile corruption in Outlook.

Once the profile corruption was resolved by creating a new profile and merging his data into the new profile, and his email quota issue was fixed by deleting a whole lot of unnecessary emails using his webmail account, his email started to flow again as it should.
