Today I’m helping staff and students at a school in Aberfoyle Park. They were having some issues with an interactive whiteboard that is connected to a teacher’s laptop. The interactive whiteboard is no longer displaying anything from a laptop and I suspect the internal cabling going from the laptop to the projector to be at fault. I’ll need to go up in the roof and examine the HDMI cable and the booster to make sure it’s all working OK, but for now I was able to get them running in a makeshift way using a long VGA cable and splitting the audio to some amplified speakers. They were very happy that they can still use it in the meantime while I organise the repairs.

I’m helping a business in Lonsdale that is having a whole lot of issues with malware and viruses on their main accounting computer in their back office. After running a few scans on the system, I was able to locate the malware and safely remove it before it did any more damage to the system. I then set them up with an automated backup system so they are safe if a virus or malware ever goes on a rampage in their system.

Today I’m out in North Haven helping a customer whose laptop has gone very wrong after an automatic Windows 10 update wiped out his personal settings and lost all of his documents. I was able to locate his documents, pictures, and all other data and was able to get Windows 10 back up and running in the way it should be with all of his personal data back in the correct locations before it all went wrong.
