This morning I’m helping a nice elderly gentleman in Happy Valley with some issues on his computer. He had someone hack into his computer and change a password a few weeks back and was quite concerned about security on his computer. I helped him by setting up the LastPass software and configured all of his websites to have new secure passwords so he has nothing to worry about anymore. He was happy to know he’s secure and that the hackers should have very little chance of ever getting in again.

I’m helping a business in Marion today with some computers that are very slow on the reception desk as well as in the practice. After checking each of the PCs and running a few tests, I was able to determine that the cause for them being so slow was due to old dying hard disks that needed to be replaced ASAP. They agreed to go ahead with a high-speed SSD upgrade on each of the computers which will bring all of them up to speed and give them a new lease of life for years to come.

This afternoon I’m helping a mechanic and Lonsdale with some issues he’s having with his computers and his network in his business premises. His computers needed a good tune up as well as some software removed and better configured to allow networking throughout the building. After a few tweaks and a more direct approach to the networking, he’s computers and now playing nice and doing everything he needs it to do. I’ll be seeing him in another month or so to do an SSD upgrade on all his computers to give them the boost of speed they need.

I’m helping a crash repairer in Seaford today with some issues on their computers, their network, and their phones after a power failure on the weekend. The power failure damage the Telstra modem and permanently disabled their wireless network connection. I set them up on a new modem and got their phone’s, the wireless, and all other network devices connected to the internet. They also needed some help configuring their CCTV security system to be accessed remotely when they’re off site which I was more than happy to help with.

This morning I’m out at Fullarton helping an elderly lady with some issues she’s having on her computer after the NBN was installed. A computer is running slow and emails we’re not going in and out, but after checking her antivirus and correctly setting up a wireless and ethernet connections she was good to go again. Her computer was a little old, but after a good tune up it was running well enough to get her through for the next year or so.
