I’m helping a customer out at North Haven today who is having a whole lot of problems on their laptop as a result of OneDrive not working properly. Normally OneDrive is pretty good but in his case it’s causing a whole lot of issues and constantly deleting files and messing up all of his settings. I fixed the problem by reverting his profile to a local only profile and removing his OneDrive access.

A business in Woodcroft that sells clothing was having some issues printing out their labels from the label maker. These little devices are notorious for being picky as far as settings and having everything lined-up up correctly. Once all of the correct settings were set and the connection from the printer to the PC was resolved they were back in action.

I am helping a business in Lonsdale today that had a message come up on their computer saying CPU fan error. After taking apart the case and having a good look inside I was able to see that the CPU fan was so filled up with dust that it was unable to spin at all. After disassembling the fan and giving it a good clean everything was good to go.

I’m helping a business in Aberfoyle Park today that is having some issues with their point of sale terminals not talking to their back office PC. After testing various settings and checking the firewall I was able to diagnose the issue as being with a faulty ethernet cable that connected their back office to the sales area. After replacing the end clip on the cable and testing their systems they were all up and running again.

I am helping an earthmoving business at Richmond today upgrading an old Windows 7 PC to Windows 10. They had been hesitant to upgrade from Windows 7 as this PC was used for accounting purposes but several factors have pushed them to go down the road upgrading to Windows 10. I advised against upgrading to the latest Windows 11 as a pc of this age can often encounter problems due to older hardware.
