I’m helping an amazing 92 year old customer today that wants to upgrade her Windows 8.1 computer to at least Windows 10 to enable her to continue doing the things she likes on there. She loves buying things on eBay, hiring online vintage movies, and keeping track of all of the great things her grandchildren do but Windows 8.1 was giving her a whole lot of trouble. I was able to upgrade her computer to Windows 10 as well as some other basic software programs and get her back in action.

I’m helping a couple that lives on a country property in Clarendon today that would like to have the printer shared across all of their devices on their home network. All of their devices are Wi-Fi enabled however the printer is only ethernet based. I was able to provide a low tech solution that gets them up and running by simply connecting one of the laptops to the printer by direct USB cable and then sharing the printer using that laptop essentially making it a print server.

I’m helping a man from Marino today he would like to retrieve some information from his old work laptop but he no longer has the password to get into it. I was able to reprogram his Windows 10 password by using a few tricks and a bootable Linux USB.

I’m helping a lawyers office in Christies Beach today by getting their email back up and running after they changed internet providers last week. They had the modem replaced as part of the Internet being changed over and none of their printers scanners or outgoing emails were working. I was able to get them back up and running by reprogramming the IP addresses of their local network and setting the correct outgoing email servers.
