I’m working today at a school helping support staff and students with all the various issues they come across with using technology in a very information-driven environment. They had a few issues with their server, most specifically the ups, which provides backup power in the case of a power failure. I was able to provide a solution that bypassed the ups temporarily by using a spare device they had on hand and will supply them with a brand new ups very soon.

I’m helping an office in Seaford today by setting up a new computer with dual screens. They needed the computer connected to their wireless network, printers and all other devices so their new staff member was able to start work straight away.

I’m helping a nice lady down at West Beach today by setting up a wireless schedule on her modem. She has a house guest that has a tendency to use the internet 24 hours a day and she wishes to put a limit on when the wireless network is available. I was able to set up some controls in the modem to put available times for when the Wireless internet is disabled and enabled which was perfect for her needs.

Today I’m down in Old Noarlunga helping a customer set up a new modem to get the internet up and running in their house. They are one of the lucky ones with fibre to the premises so my job was to connect the modem up to the fibre connection and get all the devices connected to the internet throughout the house.
