I’m helping a business in Richmond today by cleaning up their server cabinet and rewiring all of their network connections with nice new short cables as well as organising their cabinet properly and removing any old equipment that’s no longer in use. It went from a complete mess to now looking super sharp and ultra tidy and organised + a lot easier to manage going forward.
Today I’m at a school in Aberfoyle Park helping staff and students get back online after a power outage upset some of their networking equipment. Modern schools of today rely heavily on solid and reliable internet access so its always urgent to get things back up and running ASAP. They were more than happy to see the network and internet back online so they could all get back to work.
A customer in Seaford contacted me asking for help setting up their new CCTV security system so it could be accessed remotely via the internet. Once I had a look at their system and worked out what security protocols it was using I was able to open the ports required on their modem + tweak the firewall and DMZ to allow the CCTV DVR to have access to their network through the internet. Now they can check up on their business anywhere in the world as long as they have an internet connection.
I had a long time customer contact me this week saying she felt it was time to upgrade her old pc to something a little more current. Her old system was a 10 year old box running Windows XP that was so slow you could press the button to power it on then go and cook dinner and eat it too before the pc was ready to be used. I replaced it with one of my Digital Insite Eco system PC’s that comes standard with a high speed SSD and the difference between her old box and the new computer was night and day. The new system is ready to go in under 20 seconds from pressing the power button. Obviously she was very happy with her new PC 🙂
