One of my business customers in Lonsdale has a server that’s well over 20 years old running Windows 2000 that’s hit a few problems lately. Simply selling them a new sever isn’t an option as their point of sale software relies heavily on Windows 2000 and isn’t compatible with more recent server operating systems. That’s where I come in… to make it work the best it can for their business 🙂

A supermarket in the middle of the city needed some help with some Auskey issues when trying to access the ATO website. After quite a lot of research and a few clever tricks I was able to get them back online and back in business:)

A real estate office in Plympton contacted me saying one of their laptops inbuilt keyboard had simply stopped working all together. I took apart the laptop and found that the internal ribbon cable that connects the laptop motherboard to the keyboard had come loose. Once it was plugged back in and secured with some tape they were back in action as good as new.

A customer from Lonsdale contacted me saying his laptop was running very hot and would shut down after around 10 minutes of use. I was able to diagnose the problem as a faulty and very clogged up cooling fan. I disassembled and cleaned his laptop internally then installed the new cooling fan and saw his CPU temperate go from 87 degrees on the faulty fan to a nice cool 47 degrees on the new cooling unit.

A clothing store in Aberfoyle Park contacted me with some issues connecting to their software after some Windows 10 automatic updates happened overnight. After a bit of digging, I was able to locate and isolate the offending update and add it to the exclude list and get them back up and running good as new.
