A customer from West Lakes got in touch with me about his old windows 7 laptop not starting up. He said he was working on an Adobe Photoshop file and the laptop crashed and hasn’t been able to restart it since. I took a look at the laptop and repaired the startup of Windows 7 including performing a disk check and MBR rebuild and was able to get him back in action. It will probably be time to replace it soon but for now his old laptop lives another day…

A customer of mine that lives in the heart of the Adelaide City contacted me saying his Windows 10 pc that he uses for music production recently did a windows 10 automatic update and now won’t boot up. I was able to roll back the update and get him back in action after a few tweaks and then applied the clever little tool “StopUpdates10” to stop those nasty forced windows updates.

A nice elderly lady contacted me saying her Netflix wasn’t working after a power failure. I checked her setup got it all back up and running on her TV through her playstation 3 but noticed her wireless signal in the loungeroom was very poor. I suggested an upgrade to a powerline + access point combo to give her full signal and she was happy to go ahead. Now she can enjoy full 5 bars of wireless anywhere in her home.

Today I’m down south at a school in Aberfoyle Park helping students with various issues on their school laptops and printers as well as setting up hardware for online national classrooms so that teachers can conduct lessons to students all over Australia. The future is now 🙂

A lady from blackwood contacted me saying she was having problems on her gaming pc with it crashing in certain games. I tested the pc and the CPU, RAM and motherboard checked out all ok but the GPU was a bit questionable. I suggested an upgrade and she decided to go ahead with a Geforce 1080 8GB to replace her old 780ti. A nice performance bump over her old card!
