Cherry Gardens iPhone and PC email setup

I had a customer call me up from Cherry Gardens needing some help with some issues on their PC as well as setting up their email account on their iphone so it sync’s with thier PC while they are overseas on holidays. I backed up then cleared out their old POP3 email setup and go them setup on IMAP on both their desktop and iphone so that whenever they read, delete or move any emails on either device it reflects exactly the same on the other. Simple and brilliant.

Blackwood All in One HP Computer Support

I’m down in the always green little corner of Blackwood today helping an elderly man with his 7 year old HP all in one PC. He said it was running slow and not letting him watch his favourite shows on ABC iview. After a system tuneup and some apps were removed the PC was booting up much faster and running better overall. I fixed his ABC iview problem by installing Firefox and the latest flash player plugin and he was back in business 🙂

New Computer installed in Seaford Plumbing Business

I had the pleasure of supplying one of our Digital Insite ECO-system PC’s to a customer in Seaford to replace one of their old, slow 6 year old workhorses. Their screen, keyboard and mouse were all working fine and had been replaced only recently so they just needed a new tower with Windows 10. Going from an old worn out SATA hard disk to one of the new high speed SSD was nothing short of night and day and was a massive speed improvement in all areas.

Noarlunga South Computer Support

I’m helping out a 17 year old student down at Noarlunga South today with some audio recording software on his laptop that is giving him a lot of problems when trying to install custom audio libraries. The laptop itself has plently of space on his main SSD C drive however the library just won’t install there for some reason. I taught him a trick I learnt a while back called directory junctions that allows you to create the junction on his secondary SATA D drive and then copy the data he wants to the C drive. This tricks the computer into thinking that the data is on the D drive when it’s actually on the C drive. Armed with a new trick he was very happy and his music program is working as it should completely from his high speed SSD.

Seaford Onsite Computer Repairs and Support

Today I’m down south in Seaford helping out a customer that relies on a constant internet connection that connects to a remote control session interstate which unfortunately keeps dropping out. These types of problems can be tricky to diagnose so I usually start with the obvious things first like checking cables, plug ends and seeing if any other devices on the network are also experiencing any problems. Next it’s on to testing the PC itself whether a faulty network card is the cause or even some settings in Windows such as DNS etc that may be effecting it…
