I’m helping out a 17 year student down at Noarlunga South today with some audio recording software on his that is giving him a lot of problems when trying to install custom audio libraries. The laptop itself has plently of space on his main C drive however the library just won’t install there for some reason. I taught him a trick I learnt a while back called directory junctions that allows you to create the junction on his secondary SATA D drive and then copy the data he wants to the C drive. This tricks the into thinking that the data is on the D drive when it’s actually on the C drive. Armed with a new trick he was very happy and his music program is working as it should completely from his high speed SSD.
