I have a customer that dropped off a laptop to me today that won’t power on. After disassembling the laptop and checking all of the internals I was able to confirm that it’s unfortunately had a dead motherboard. I will be quoting the customer for a new laptop but the good news is that their data which was on the nvme SSD is safe and available to transfer to the new laptop.
