Today I’m repairing an pc with 7 installed that has a dying SSD. Basically the pc would run fine and quite fast (when it worked) and then other times would not boot up at all. I was able to diagnose the SSD as dying using the SSD Life app which showed it was very much on the way out. As the SSD was a very small 60gb model it had been used to capacity for most of its life and had died and early death. SSD’s don’t like running at capacity one bit. Thankfully I was able to clone the dying SSD onto a new unit and Windows 7 without any data loss 🙂
