Adelaide City On-site Computer Repair and Support : Rundle Mall dead ADSL modem replaced

Another of my business customers contacted me saying their internet had just gone down and as their business can’t run without the internet it put them in some real hot water. I was able to see them that afternoon and brought along a new ADSL 2+ modem to begin the testing and fault diagnosis. After checking their  existing modem I could see that it wasn’t getting any DSL line sync at all so I proceeded to set them up on the new modem. I also checked and tested their cabling and found a few faults with the line filter / splitter and the phone lead so I replaced these also. After their PPP authentication details and the correct IP address was setup in the new modem they were back in business. Another happy customer that can get back to doing what they do best 🙂

Fulham Gardens Onsite Computer Repair and Support : Tablet PC building inspection software problems

One of my long time business customers contacted me with some problems using some building inspection software on his Asus transformer tablet pc. Basically an automatic Windows update came through and made some changes to his computer which in turn stopped his building inspection software from operating. I went into the settings for his tablet pc and isolated and removed the offending updates and then set about to repairing his building  inspection software. After locating the appropriate installation files, I was able to carefully do a repair install on the program withour losing any of his data or settings and got him back up and running and back to work. He also mentioned that his windows 7 desktop pc was running very slow with lots of popups coming up when browsing so I ran a malware scan and a startup tune to get it back to peak performance.

Square Enix’s answer to Destiny is “The Avengers Project”

The original Destiny game on PS4 was a phenomenal success selling millions of copies and expansions worldwide. Destiny 2? Yeah… not so much. But even though Destiny 2 has proved to be somewhat of a flop, the success of the original ‘team looter shooter’ that was Destiny is a formula that many gaming development companies would love to reproduce. Ubisoft gave us The Division, EA is releasing Anthem sometime in the near future and Square Enix (the team behind the latest Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy games) are joining the party with their take on the online shooter MMO…The Avengers Project. That’s obviously not the final name but you can expect everything that goes with The Avengers universe in a 3rd person online shared world shooter / fighting game. Sounds interesting…

Belair Onsite Computer Repair and Support : Wireless printer setup on iPad and laptop

Today I’m in the hills called out to a house in Belair to help set up a new wireless printer on a lady’s laptop and iPad. She gave the instructions a shot but didn’t quite get there – but that’s where I come in. I connected the printer the her portable wifi modem then set up the connection on both her laptop and iPad. She also told me she was getting lots of popups and her laptop was running slow but after a good cleanup and malware removal her laptop was running better than ever!
