Today I’m down in Glenelg helping a beauty salon with their Intel small form factor PC that’s making a whole lot of fan noise. After disassembling the unit and having a good look at the internals, I was able to diagnose it as a faulty cooling fan. Once the new cooling fan was installed the system temperatures went down by at least 20 degrees and it’s operating noise has dropped substantially.
