A business customer contacted me saying their Outlook 2007 was no longer working and was coming up with an error on start up. I checked their laptop and as it was over 8 years old I wasn’t surprised that the age of the hard disk had caused file corruption in the outlook PST file. I repaired the Outlook PST file and got them back up and running and also performed a hard disk check which showed the hard disk was in very poor health. I then helped them backup all of their data to an external hard disk so they are safe if anything happens in the next few days while they decide on which new laptop to buy.
