The Nintendo Switch has officially been hacked wide open allowing pirated games and homebrew apps

It was really only a matter of time but I honestly thought the security of Nintendo’s latest gaming system would hold back those peg legged pirates for longer that this. Hopefully some good will come from this in the shape of some cool apps or hey, even Windows running on the switch 🙂

Netflix trying to buy and set up dedicated movie theatres? Apparently so…

It sounds odd to hear that the streaming giant Netflix would want to set up movie theaters at your local shopping centre but it does mostly make sense seeing as how much money Netflix make in a year (over 10 billion). All they have to do is create “premium” movies that go to the big screen first for a month or so and then just release them as per normal on Netflix so normal subscribers don’t feel alienated. An interesting move by the largest streaming company in the world but not a huge surprise really.

Aberfoyle Park Onsite Computer Repair and Support : ADSL Modem replaced + remote CCTV setup

A business in Aberfoyle Park was having a few issues with their internet connection dropping out every few weeks. After taking a look at the modem and the diagnostic logs I was able to confirm that the modem was over 5 years old and was an ideal candidate for a replacement. I supplied them with a high quality Tplink ADSL 2+ modem that immediately gave them a much faster and more stable connection and I also setup up the required port forwards and security settings to allow for their CCTV security system to be viewed and managed offsite from their business. Another customer back in business 🙂
