I just downloaded and gave Player Unknown Battlerounds for mobile a shot on my phone after hearing so much about it and seeing as its free on Google Play I thought what the hey.
I honestly didn’t expect much from it and my phone is certainly not designed for gaming (Galaxy A5 2017) but I have to say I was actually very impressed. I was running PUBG on medium quality settings and it generally looked and ran really well. A bit of graphical pop in here and there which is very much to be expected when running on a phone but nothing at all that was game breaking. The game itself was smooth, slick and everything worked as it should which was a welcome surprise.
I managed to take down 3 enemy players so I wasn’t a complete dead weight for my team and we took out the match in the end. All up, I was honestly surprised at how well it looks and plays.
Playing on a phone with touch screen controls is a little odd at first but after a few minutes I started to get the hang of it and was driving, running, swimming and picking up loot all over the place. This is the real deal PUBG with 100 online players all trying to get to last man (or team) standing and is a great way to experience what everyone is talking about with the convenience of playing on the go. I fully expect this to go absolutely bonkers massive as far as popularity.
