A customer from North Haven contacted me with a few issues in Outlook 2010 where it would receive emails fine but was holding all emails in the outbox when he went to send. I checked all of his settings and all of the IMAP, encryption and authentication settings were correct according to bigpond’s website so I dug a little deeper. After a bit more testing I suspected it might Outlook itself and I proceeded to run the application repair from the control panel. After a little while the process was complete and this got Outlook working again. I suspect that another program had upset Outlooks dependency on a system DLL or corrupted something in the registry as he was now back up and running. I also set up an automated easy to use backup system for him so that all of his photos and documents are being backed up daily to his external USB drive in case anything happens to the laptop. Another happy customer so I’m happy too 🙂
