One of my business customers called me this week saying their 7 had been running very slow and then suddenly crashed and now won’t boot up at all. I suspected that their was old and had worn out with age and after some tests I was able to prove this when loads and loads of bad sectors and bad blocks were coming up during a disk repair. I gave some options to my customer to replace their hard disk with a standard mechanical one or to upgrade it to a high speed SSD. They chose the high speed SSD option and after 7 had been reinstalled along with the system device drivers and all of their data recovered and restored they were back in business faster than ever! In short a slow and dying 5 year old has been given a new lease of life for well under half the price of a new laptop 🙂
