Some problematic access points are the focus of the day today at a school in AberfoylePark. All of the students aren’t here today so it’s an ideal time to check on the roof mounted access points to make sure they are all working and giving out a good signal throughout the whole campus. A few of the access points were showing up in the wireless settings on devices but weren’t allowing staff and students to connect to the internet and local network resources. My first port of call for any access points in question is to remove them from the roof and attempt to power cycle them in the hopes that the old “reboot trick” we all know and love so much on our PC’s and laptops works here too. In most cases today, that was all that was required to fix the problem!
